Submission Writing (1 day)
This workshop is designed for members of boards/committees, CEO’s/EO’s and managers of volunteers who have responsibility for preparing funding submissions and managing the funding resulting from successful submissions. (Note: This workshop can extend beyond one-day as a customised workshop or consulting assignment, where School staff will work with the staff of the client organisation to prepare a funding submission.)
Aim
To inform participants of the funding submission process and the requirements of successful funding submission, and the monitoring and reporting requirements associated with funding resulting from successful submissions.
Topics include:
- The submission process
- Identifying and defining your own needs
- Identifying appropriate sources of funding
- Identifying the guidelines, questions and criteria that must be responded to and adequately addressed in the submission documents
- Identifying and understanding the evaluation, review and reporting requirements, and developing the necessary procedures to meet these
- Document structure and presentation, including the importance of plain English
