Understanding National Standards (1/2 day)
This workshop introduces participants to the National Standards for Involving Volunteers in Not-for-Profit Organisations. The standards represent Volunteering Australia’s benchmark for “best practice” in the management of volunteers.
Aim
Participants will understand the eight standards and be able to assess how their own organisation is currently performing against those standards.
Topics include:
- The importance and intent of National Standards
- Understanding the eight Standards
- Understand how to use the assessment tool
- Identify the areas where participants organisations are currently meeting the Standards and those where they are not
