Consulting

The School's consultants, who are also experienced trainers and educators, have many years experience as managers and consultants in the not-for-profit, government and corporate sectors and are able to work with organisations to improve their effectiveness. Assignments may include:

• Working with boards/management committees to restructure their organisation, facilitate strategic planning, review and make recommendations in relation to governance and the operation of the management committee/board.
• Work with staff of an organisation in the implementation of a change project, e.g., the design and implementation of a performance review and planning program or how best to implement National Standards in their organisation.
• Work with a management committee/board and staff to review how the organisation manages its volunteers and recommend the changes necessary to achieve best practice and better meet the organisation's needs. The consultants can also be involved in the implementation of the recommended changes.

Experience has shown that the higher the level of involvement by staff during the consultation and implementation phases, will result in greater success in achieving the desired changes. From the start of any consulting assignment our consultants seek to achieve maximum involvement by relevant staff at all levels of the organisation, with staff undertaking some of the work involved in the project. This has the added benefit of reducing consulting fees for the client.

Fees

After initial consultation the School will prepare a detailed proposal for all aspects of the project, including a cost estimate.
