Mark Tippett Dip Bus Man, Cert IV TAA, JP, Head of Business Services

Mark has 12 years experience in RTOs, including Nature Care College at St Leonards, St George & Sutherland Community College and with Wesley Mission, in management and business development roles. Prior to moving into vocational training in 1998, he spent 17 years in layout and graphic design, including 10 years as art director/studio manager.

Mark is a J.P. and lives in Sydney’s south with his young family where he gets time to also focus on his artistic endeavours.

Mark has completed a number of professional development and tertiary courses including – Counselling, Diploma of Business Management, Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management) and the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Mark is a Board Member of the Community Services and Health ITAB (CSHITAB).

Brian ChittendenSVM Administrator

Brian Chittenden

Brian joins the School on a part-time basis after having enjoyed a successful career in the Banking and Finance Sector for most of his working life, based variously in Melbourne, Port Moresby and Sydney. When not playing with money Brian has at different times owned and operated two restaurants in Sydney, he also managed an engineering factory in Sydney’s west for three years and a wholesale stationery supply business in Sydney’s south for two years.

In his spare time Brian is a keen golfer and is very involved with his wife Marilyn in their family’s activities – which with eight grandchildren living in Sydney is almost a full time occupation in itself! Brian is enthusiastic about having the opportunity of being able to bring to the School the benefits of his long and varied career in a range of industries and looks forward to working with all of the outside presenters and trainers involved with the operation of the School

SVM Consultants and Trainers

Ray Bredenkamp MBA, BEd, Dip TAA, Dip Frontline Management, Dip Financial Services,Cert IV TAA, Cert IV Retail Operations

Ray, with extensive experience in management and consulting, is a specialist trainer and assessor with over 20 years experience. He has worked in a variety of industries including telecommunications, automotive and retail.

His training and consulting roles require him to advise and partner with businesses to achieve continuous improvement.

His training sessions are big on content and focus on improved results.

Narayan van de Graaff B Comm, Grad Dip Socid Sciences, Cert IV TAA

Narayan joined the School training team in 2007 and has 20 years experience as a trainer and consultant.  His training and consulting experience has been gained with some of Australia’s leading companies, as well as with government, universities and the Community and not-for-profit sectors. He established his own consultancy over a decade ago.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Sciences (Psychology), as well as being accredited in Executive Coaching and a variety of leadership, team and personality profiles.

Narayan has also spent many years as a volunteer, including in PNG as an Australian Volunteer Abroad and six years with LifeLine both as a crisis counsellor and trainer of counsellors. He also serves breakfast to the homeless at the Wayside Chapel every Saturday morning.

Jenny Kapp BA

Jenny Kapp has been a contract trainer with the School since 2005. A freelance trainer and writer for over 10 years, Jenny's experience includes presenting and facilitating a variety of workshops for a range of community and government organisations, producing a selection of radio documentaries for ABC Radio National and Triple J, and coordinating training for a Sydney-based not-for-profit organisation.

Using education as a tool for social change is one of Jenny's biggest motivations. She has a particular interest in teaching people about communication, computer and technology-based subjects and working with students with disabilities.

Jenny holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and has begun a Masters of Education (Adult Education) degree this year.

Kathryn Leaney BA Communications, Grad Dip Management, Assoc Dip Travel and Tourism, MBTI, MTR-I, Cert IV TAA

Kathryn is a successful people manager with extensive HR experience in public and private organisations as well as in the not-for-profit and higher education sectors. She is committed to the delivery of quality services to the client and creating an organisation in which people want to work. She has a wide range of experience in the design and delivery of training and development programs, equity and diversity strategies, team development, performance management and mentoring and coaching. She also has valuable experience working with organisations on the design and implementation of strategic and business planning, cultural change and change management strategies. Kathryn has been a Volunteer Home Tutor for over four years and is also a volunteer Bridge to Volunteering at the School of Volunteer Management.

Tulsi Levin de Graaff BA (Psych), LLB, Grad Dip Legal Practice, Cert IV AWPT

Tulsi is a lawyer and an experienced mediator, child protection investigator, trainer and educator. She has extensive experience working in the community sector and human rights/social justice organisations including the Australian Human Rights Commission, the Australian Human Rights Centre and Kingsford Legal Centre. Over many years Tulsi has also been a volunteer including for Lifeline, Women’s Legal Resources Centre, Asylum Seekers Centre, and Amnesty International. In recent years, she has also worked at Centa-care as a Pre-Marriage Educator. Tulsi is very interested in assisting organisations improve staff morale, reduce conflict and improve communication including through targeted training and mediation. She has been a volunteer since 1984 in a variety of roles and organisations.

Dale Rees-Bevan BA Hons, HDE, Post Grad Dip Translation Theory, Cert IV TAA

Dale Rees-Bevan has been running public speaking courses since 1993. In 2003, she joined SpeakersBank. Dale set up, managed and ran funded projects in London, trained trainers to deliver the Speak Up! Speak Out! program and more recently, established SpeakersBank Australia Inc.

Dale has coached people from a variety of backgrounds ranging from HR, IT and Sales Managers to Volunteer Managers, teachers and volunteers. She has also worked with young offenders and school children from all walks of life.

Penny York MBA, BA, Cert IV TAA

Penny's corporate background has spanned business consultancy, project management, sales, marketing, corporate communications, public relations and audio visual production. Over the last 10 years her focus has been consulting in business strategy and strategic management for small business and voluntary work for schools, sporting organisations and as a business mentor for university students.

Penny's affiliation with the School began in 2004, as a volunteer presenter of the 'Bridge to Volunteering' program, and expanded to contract training and coaching a year later.

Her experience with the Not for Profit sector has helped her to understand the challenges faced by organisations as they seek to fulfil their charter with limited resources and ever increasing demands. Drawing on her MBA and education studies, Penny is keenly interested in strategic planning – planning that is important in recruitment, team development, leadership and creating a sound business structure from which to develop and grow.

Elizda Bredenkamp Bachelor of Law, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Cert IV in Frontline Management

Elizda is an enthusiastic facilitator, assessor and mentor with a successful training career, delivering to varied organisations. She has extensive experience in business operations with a focus on business management and compliance. Having worked in a variety of industries including legal and financial services, she has developed a keen interest in risk management, compliance and business continuity.

Elizda enjoys developing resource material and is committed to excellence and enriching the lives of those with whom she works and their organisations.
